$125 to $229. Porch doors, back doors, the door in from the garage, the side entrance nobody uses. Opened without leaving a mark, and a spare cut at the van before it leaves so the evening does not repeat itself next month. The visit and the hour are both already inside the figure you agreed to.

$99 to $189. A fob on the seat and the doors shut, in a county lot, at the marina, in the rows by the station or on your own gravel. The top corner is bowed with an inflatable wedge and the handle worked with a long rod, then the paint and the weather seal get checked over with you standing there.

$135 to $245. Shops, the offices above them, stockrooms and yard buildings, opened after a lease page, a badge or a word from the manager settles that the door is yours to open. Between midnight and 7am the figure carries $85, agreed before anyone sets off.

$165 to $429. Splintered jamb cut back and rebuilt to solid wood, a long keeper anchored well past the trim, the lock made to work again or replaced, and a bolt with somewhere to go. One visit, and the paperwork breaks the job into lines an adjuster can read without calling you.

$27 to $44 per cylinder. New pins go into the lock already hanging on the door, and every key cut before this afternoon stops working. Outside doors end up sharing one blade. The first cylinder carries the trip, so the ones after it land at the bottom of the range.

$119 to $315. This line also pays for the job that comes up most in the old center: the bronze body out of the edge of the leaf, stripped, re-sprung, greased and put back where it was. Where new hardware is the honest answer, the leaf is checked and the keeper reset before a single screw goes in.

$185 to $459. A keypad on a door older than the standard it was made for. Electronics cannot shove a sticking leaf, so paint comes out of the rabbet and the keeper is moved to meet the bolt before the carton is opened. The codes are yours and you type them in yourself. The override blank is cut at the van the same afternoon.

$189 to $509. Floor safes, wall safes and the old office safe in a back room, opened by hand where they stand, whether the combination is lost or the boltwork has stopped moving. A fresh number is set to something you choose, and written down somewhere other than that room.

Quoted once every opening has been walked and listed. A floor of offices near the courthouse, or a row of Main Street units, arranged so one key covers what an owner needs and no tenant key covers anything beyond its own door.

$289 to $739 per door. Back exits onto the alley, kitchen doors, shop rear doors. New devices, rebuilds, and alignment so the latch drops home instead of riding across the keeper. If an inspection date is driving the work, name it on the call and the job gets scheduled against it.

Quoted once the doors are counted. Readers, keypads, electric strikes and credentials for offices, suites and yard buildings, with a key-operated way in left on every leaf for the morning the power is out.

$152 to $449. Aluminum and glass doors downtown, where the faults repeat: a hookbolt stopping short of the keeper, a deadlatch worn too shallow to hold, a cylinder binding by mid-afternoon, a closer that has been pulling the frame out of true for a year.

$149 to $399. Cut and coded beside the vehicle, with the spare done in the same sitting even when there is nothing left to copy from. Older trucks take a blade, newer cars take a proximity key, and both are on the van. Licence and registration go against the plate first.

$95 to $189. Remotes and proximity fobs written to the car where it sits. A fob that has gone deaf gets put on a tester before anything is sold, and a lost one is dropped out of the car memory when you ask for that.

$175 to $435. Worn wafers, a cylinder that jams halfway, or a switch that turns and leaves the dash dark. Rebuilt or exchanged at the curb, and kept on the key already in your pocket wherever the make permits it.

$119 to $275. Bikes and scooters. The blade is read off the lock and cut on the spot, the chip is written beside the machine, and the seat, the fork lock and the fuel cap all get tried before the case closes.
